The Cocktail Project is a collaborative cocktail recipe experience bringing together handblown glass, signature cocktails and a curated music playlist to elevate your happy hour.  Infinite Glassworks teamed up with select food and drink venues around southern Georgian Bay, each created an original cocktail recipe to pair with the Lowrider glassware collection.

A delicious cocktail served in an exquisite glass, because every carefully crafted drink deserves the considered craftsmanship that goes into a handblown glass.

Garden Party

4 triangles of cucumber for muddling
1 oz jalapeño syrup

1 oz fresh lime juice
0.5 oz chartreuse
1.5 oz dillons gin

To make the jalapeño simple syrup: add equal parts sugar and water to a saucepan (I used 1 cup of each) bring to a simmer stirring occasionally until sugar is dissolved. In the meantime half 2 jalapeños. Depending on your desired spice level remove or keep the seeds. Once the syrup is ready remove from heat and let cool until just warm to the touch. Add the halved jalapeños and steep. Tasting every minute or so until your desired flavour and spice level. Strain and chill syrup.

Start by muddling the cucumbers either in the mixing glass or cocktail shaker. Add the remaining ingredients and stir/shake over ice. Strain into Lowrider glass. Top with a scoop of ice, edible flowers and herbs from the garden.

Femme Fatale

2 oz Spy Mata Hari
1 oz fresh lemon juice
1 oz simple syrup
5 blackberries
3 sage leaves
soda water

In a Lowrider glass, muddle berries, sage, lemon juice and simple syrup.  Add Mata Hari and plenty of ice and mix well.  Top off with soda water and garnish with a sage sprig and blackberry.

The ‘Obviously You Are Not A Golfer’

Inspired by one of our favourite films: The Big Lebowski

1.5 oz Vodkow Vodka*
2 oz red Vermouth
1 cup brewed coffee
16 ea pitted cherries
2-3 oz Sheldon Creek whole milk
1 cup sugar
75 ml water

Add Vodkow Vodka, coffee syrup and lots of ice to Lowrider glass and stir.  Top with whole milk, add cherry for garnish and enjoy!

Coffee Syrup
Bring the brewed coffee to a boil and reduce by half.  Add 1/2 cup of sugar and allow to dissolve.

Cherries
In a small pot with a small surface area, pour in the remaining sugar along with 75ml of water.  Turn on to medium high heat and dissolve the sugar.  When sugar dissolves remove from heat, add cherries and stir gently.  Once the mixture cools down add the red vermouth.

*Available at the LCBO, Vodkow Vodka is produced in Almonte, Ontario and is made using the unused milk sugar from local dairy farms. This unique process delivers notes of sweet vanilla and whipped cream. This incredibly delicious vodka is sugar-free and is a must when making this cocktail. It is smooth like no-udder!!

0.5 oz agave syrup
1 oz cucumber puree
4 torn mint leaves

Add ingredients to a shaker with a scoop of ice and shake for 10 seconds to incorporate the flavours.  Pour your drink into a Lowrider glass and garnish with a cucumber ribbon.  Cheers!

Cucumber Ribbons and Puree

Using a peeler, peel long ribbons of cucumber.  Place the ribbon on a skewer or curl into a fancy design to use for a garnish.  Peel and cut up remaining cucumber.  Place in a blender, add approx 1/4 c of water and blend on high for 1 minute.

Lime Juice

Making your own lime juice is a labour of love, but it’s one of the biggest factors in what makes a cocktail go from good to great.  Squeeze your limes by hand or use a juicer, then mix the pure lime juice with equal parts cold water.
